Cimatron Die

Stamping die work runs on precision and repeatability — a strip layout that’s off by a fraction, or a punch that doesn’t clear on the first pass, shows up on the shop floor immediately. Cimatron Die is built specifically for progressive and transfer die making, combining design, quoting, and machining into a single system so toolmakers aren’t reconciling data between disconnected tools.

Pelf Engineering supplies and supports Cimatron Die for manufacturers producing stamping tools of any complexity, from simple blanking dies to full progressive die sets.

Cimatron Die Design

What Makes It Useful

Quotes that actually reflect the job

Material cost, machining time, labour, and overhead all feed into the estimate, which means fewer surprises later and a better shot at catching design issues before they become expensive.

Strip layout without the guesswork

Number of stations, pitch, blank orientation, strip width all of it can be adjusted on the fly, with real-time simulation showing the result immediately rather than after the next export.

Punch and matrix design that isn't tedious

Trimming punches can be created directly from contours, and forming or bending punches can be generated with automated tools instead of manual surfacing.

A die set that's ready to build on

Pre-fitted die sets with plates, guiding components, and fasteners load in seconds, and both catalog and user-defined parts can be swapped in as the design develops.

Cimatron Die Design

Core Capabilities

Blank design and forming

Forming-phase data carries over automatically into the design environment, and nesting tools help optimize material usage on transfer dies.

Die layout and strip design

Adjust stations, pitch, and blank placement with immediate visual feedback and validation.

Punch/matrix creation

Solid and surface modeling tools purpose-built for trimming, forming, and cutting punches.

Collision and motion checks

Vertical axis movement and kinematics are validated as the design comes together, catching interference before it reaches the shop floor.

CAM for die making

Roughing, 3- to 5-axis finishing, plate drilling, and wire EDM programming, all backed by simulation and a broad post-processor library.

Drawing generation

Templates for die drawings that carry customer specs forward, cutting down repetitive drafting work.

Why Work With Pelf Engineering

Every die shop has its own conventions for strip layout, die sets, and reporting. Pelf Engineering works with your team to configure Cimatron Die around those conventions rather than asking you to change how you work — and we stay on for support long after the initial rollout.
